We  are having a fine visit.  I caught a fish today and one yesterday.  Very small bass.  Some we saved to clean tomorrow.

The kids look great.  Gio spent a good bit of time with us. We played Scrabble with him and Keith.  Elizabeth won.

We hiked yesterday to a spot on one of the lakes and fished a different spot today, but the weeds are so thick and the water so low that it was not the best fishing.

I did some fine napping. Nice to be away and still be able to nap.

On the second day we went swimming.  It is a long trek through the weeds, but then we swam in more weedfree areas.  It makes me appreciate my swimming area at Burden lake.

But we had a blast.  Reagan talked about Rizing her Huz which is like flirting with her boyfriend.  She talked a long time about boys.

We met John and his wife.  They were very pleasant.

Reagan was on a floating board and so she dragged me back through the weeds to the shore.  I was pretty tired.

Next we cleaned the fish and we ended up with more than I thought we would.  Nice bits cooked in the old way.  Some were bluegills and some some were small bass which they  take here as the population has taken over.

We ate a marinated skirt steak they get at costo.  It was very good with rice and black beans and fried onions and pepper.

I ate another piece of delicious blueberry cobler for dessert.

I am packed for the long ride back tomorrow.

Keith and Bern talked a long while right below me and all the noise carries.  I can hear him snore as well.  I don't hear noise from their bedroom, but they spend a good bit of time either on the porch or just below me.

Next trip I have to find some noise reduction earphones that are comfortable for wearing while sleeping.  In many situations the noises keep me awake.

Elizabeth is over in the loft and there it is completely quiet.

She also gets easy access to food and drink.

They don't like food in the bedrooms here, so I just have water or sometimes seltzer if I manage that.

So, it has been a grand trip, but it is hard to find quiet when I travel.  I hope the Thanksgiving trip will be better. We have a huge place rented, a cabin in the woods, with two bedrooms and plenty of space and no other folks around except in other cabins not connected to ours.

We are looking at a Norwegian cruise for Christmas if I manage to stay healthy during that time.  It goes to the Bahamas.  Keith rented a place, a special upscale area of the ship which makes the large ship more like a small ship experience.
